Team America

Posted by Marc Critical

This past Friday An old friend of mine (Joe Brook) was in town for the Omar Salazar Nike SB release party. He drove the old Team America van down from the city; with him he brought a few of the Anti Hero boys. He also linked up with Sacramento Legend Matt Rodriguez. Matt was playing tour guide to some of the local street spots for Joe and his crew. Our own Richard Hughes and friend of the HA family Maso, were tailing in the Shughe mobile.

Since the Omar party wasn’t until late, we had time to get some street skating in. I got a late start, but I finally met up with everyone at one of Sacramento’s well known Ditch spots. Now this spot is no joke and you need to see it in person to fully respect it. While I was there I got your run of the mill pictures, but I wanted to make sure to get pictures of Matt and Joe. Its been over ten years since I’ve hung out with Joe Brook. We go as far back as the Experience days and if you can remember those days then you have earned your stripes with me. It was great to see all these guys and catch up. Enjoy the visuals, I will be posting the pictures from the Omar event soon.

This was the setup area for speed. Not much more than a foot to ride along before dropping in.

The Team America van with Joe Brook at the wheel.

Dj with a back T and later did a MONSTER front nollie heel to fakie.

Sean G with a really good front nose blunt slide.

P-Stone was getting all tunnel vision with his shots.

Joe Brook doing what he does best.

I stole this shot when Joe was popping off pic’s of Matt. This dreadlock scarf is going to be the next big thing according to Matt.

Peabody had beer on his mind and wasn’t to into this sesh.

Richard gave this beast a go with a 5-0 to fakie. I don’t think he landed this one, but I’m sure he will be going back for it.

This was the walk back from the 5-0 to fakie attempt. You can see how serious this spot is from the expression on his face.

Matt with a super steezy back lip.

Matt was such a great host. He even cleaned up after the crew was done skating.

This is Matt Rod’s board with a smart phone on it…… priceless.

This is without a doubt the sign of the Anti Hero boys being here.
