South Sac Sketh, Part 2

Posted by Marc Critical

There was so much going on that night that I had to make it a two parter.

Just when I thought that night was coming to an end, Richard tells me to roll through another spot. All of us were more than ready to dip-set out of the first sketchy spot.

When we got there all I can focus on was Yum Yum Donuts next door.

So we had to get the blood flowing again with some maple bars. If you didn’t know, Richard has the worst maple bar addiction that I have ever seen.

After Massimo worked his magic, the spot got live.

First to step up was Maso. He gets an ollie in. I will tell you that most people would be satisfied with that considering if you hit the fence you are going to open your gut on it quick.

Next to step up was Dellas. He gets a front 180. After, an almost kick flip resulted in a broken board. Unbelievable though. Just the fact that he had the kick flip first try, but slipped out.

And then, Rob goes back and gets a back 180 to finish the night.

To celebrate Dellas gives Tristen the assist with the Budweiser.

Overall this was a great night and truth is these guys all skate amazing. You can tell that they feed off each other’s energy. There is so much raw talent out here in Sacramento and it is great to see all these guys ripping.

The other night I got a call from Will around 9PM, telling me I needed to come out and see what he, Richard and some of the Lurk heads were out filming. So, I decided to grab the camera and head out. First stop was this beast of a flat rail. I didn’t have to drive around to long before I found the guys.

Richard and Will, watching the playback.

Massimo is always in full work mode with trustee bucket and camera in hand.

I didn’t even realize Andrew Dellas was in the shadows. The season was fully on and Rob Mason and Andrew Dellas along with Richard were putting in some work on this rail.

Will planked an electric box, first try.

Also it wasn’t long before Will and I were fully aware of a super sketchy Gay prostitution ring that was happening on the very street we were filming on. This guy was lurking all over getting picked up and dropped off. Soooo sketchy…

After Maso and Dellas land their tricks, it was up to Richard to get this 50-50. He sticks it and I can’t believe my eyes. This rail was so damn long. Not to mention he had to gap out over a sidewalk.

I still feel it was my shoelace that I had to give up that helped Richard in landing his trick.

Either way it was celebration time.

To be continued…

Lurk’s Best Trick & Ramp Jam Part.2

Spent some time over at Lurk Hard’s Most Awesome Trick Contest in Sacramento Ca. Calvin and his homie Jamico with their 1 finger salutes pretty much sum’s up the HA Critical warm up for the contest. The crew was just about complete but, we were missing our brother Will while he was busy doing his internship.

I had to bail early but, judging from the Video and seeing Richards kickflip 50-50 down the hubba It was a great turn out. Gino Is most definitely a close homie to the HA camp and we can’t wait for the next Most Awesome Trick Contest. Big up’s to the winner Mika and to second place Andrew dellas both solid dudes and deserve the accolades.

Jamico & Calvin.

Richard.

This is Richard’s new style of stretching called Hump Stretch. I think he has a 20min how to stretch video dropping soon.

Tristen?

JR stopped by.

Glen with the man who put this all together, Geno (Lurk Hard).
